Ramirent

Ramirent is a Finnish rental company. They are biggest in Sweden, and has business in 13 countries. Ramirent rent out machines, cranes and modules for construction work.

An important question that Ramirent ask is how many rental units of each kind to keep in stock. If there are to few, one risk losing customers to competitors, and too many costs money and occupies space. In between, there is an optimum, and here Optimization Partner enters the picture. A complicating factor is the the demand for the different machines usually is unknown. Most customers neither can nor want to book equipment far in advance. What is known, however, is statistics about the demand.
