EF

EF is a travel agency which arranges language- and cultural travels all over the world. One of their main products in this area is group travel with bus throughout Europe. Such trips often start in one major city in Europe, to which the participants fly from different parts of the world. From there the travelers are transported by bus in between sights of Europe and subsequently leaving for home from another major city. These trips are most commonly between one and three weeks long and the bus and its driver often follow the group all the way.

In an effort to get bus companies to offer good prices, EF asked Optimization Partner to develop a tool to coordinate these trips. This tool can be used both strategically and tactically.

A similar problem which Optimization Partner has solved for EF is planning of bus routes for pickup and delivery of tourist groups to and from hotels for airports in major cities.
